Exercise 3 | Chemical Calculations for Solutions

What is the molarity M of a solution containing 32.1 grams of solute with a molar mass M = 24.0 g.mol-1 in 450 mL of solution?

n = mM   and   n = M x V

M x V = mM

M = mM × V

M = 32.124.0 × 0.450 = 2.97 mol.L-1
